We operate a directory and comparison site for garages across the UK (www.garage-finder.co.uk). Car owners can use our site to find, compare, and book services with garages. Garages pay a subscription to be listed; car owners use the site for free.

  1. Using Our Site

By using our site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

You must be (i) over 18 years old, and (ii) have created an account with us in order to use this site.

Our site is available free of charge. We do not guarantee that our site, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted. We may suspend, withdraw or restrict availability of all or any part of the site for any reason. We will try to give you reasonable notice of any suspension or withdrawal.

These terms are applicable to users of our site that wish to be introduced to garages. There are separate terms for garage owners wishing to be listed on our site.

  1. What We Do
  • We introduce car owners to garages.
  • Our site allows you to check availability at the garage you choose and to reserve a time slot for the garageā€™s services
  • We do not recommend, endorse, or guarantee any garage services.
  • We do not provide advice about the garageā€™s services listed on our site, nor do we provide any warranties in relation to any particular garageā€™s service.
  • We do not take payment for garage services; you pay the garage directly.
  1. Making a Booking
  • You can search for garages, compare prices, and request a booking using the search functionality on our site.
  • When you request a booking, your contact information and details of your vehicle are shared with the garage.
  • The garage will contact you directly Via the site and my email to confirm the booking. The booking is not confirmed until you and the garage agree.
  • The contract for any work or services provided by the garage is between you and the garage.
  • If you need to cancel or change your booking, you should contact the garage via the site using the messaging functionality directly.
  1. Your Responsibilities

You must:

  • provide is accurate and up to date information.
  • Keep your account details safe and secure and not share your password with anyone else.
  • If you think someone else knows your password or has gained access to your account, please contact us as soon as possible.
  • You are responsible for arranging transport to and from the garage, unless agreed otherwise with the garage.
  1. Reviews
  • You may leave a review after using a garageā€™s services. We encourage you to do this in order to assist other users of our service in making a decision about which garage to use.
  • Reviews must be honest, recent, and based on your own experience.
  • We may edit or remove reviews that are offensive, defamatory, misleading, or fake.
  • Garages are prohibited from reviewing themselves or their competitors.
  1. Our Responsibilities
  • We do our best to keep the site running smoothly, but we cannot guarantee it will always be available.
  • We are not responsible for the quality of work or services provided by garages.
  • If you have a problem with a garage, you must resolve it with them directly.

  • All content, intellectual property, trade marks or brand names on the site belong to us or our licensors.
  • You may print or download content for personal use, but not for any commercial purpose.
  • Any use of our site or our (or our licensorsā€™) intellectual property rights by you that does not comply with these terms entitles us to terminate your use of the site immediately.
  1. Text or Data Mining & Web Scraping
  • You shall not conduct, facilitate, authorise or permit any text or data mining or web scraping in relation to ourĀ siteĀ or any services provided via, or in relation to, ourĀ siteĀ for any purpose, including the development, training, fine-tuning or validation of AI systems or models. This includes using (or permitting, authorising or attempting the use of):
    • Any “robot”, “bot”, “spider”, “scraper” or other automated device, program, tool, algorithm, code, process or methodology to access, obtain, copy, monitor or republish any portion of ourĀ siteĀ or any data, content, information or services accessed via the same.
    • Any automated analytical technique aimed at analysing text and data in digital form to generate information or develop, train, fine-tune or validate AI systems or models which includes but is not limited to patterns, trends and correlations.
  • The provisions in this clause should be treated as an express reservation of our rights in this regard, including for the purposes of Article 4(3) of the Digital Copyright Directive ((EU) 2019/790).

  1. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms, their subject matter and formation are governed by English law. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms or their subject matter will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.

  1. Who We Are

This website is operated by Garage Finder Ltd, a limited company incorporated in England with company number 16364245 (ā€œweā€, ā€œusā€, ā€œourā€).

We operate a directory and comparison site for garages across the UK (www. garage-finder.co.uk) (the ā€œsiteā€). These terms apply to garage owners (ā€œyouā€, ā€œyourā€) that wish to be listed on our siteĀ  and benefit from the service and that have completed registration on our site.

By signing up and creating an account, you agree to these terms.

  1. Becoming a Listed Garage
  • You must provide full, accurate business details on the signup page. If you are a limited company, you must include your company registration number and registered address. If you are a sole trader, you must provide your full name and business address.
  • You must have and maintain for the duration of the term of your participation on the site:
    • Motor trade, public liability and professional indemnity insurance (and be able to provide evidence to us upon our reasonable request)
    • an up-to-date price list for the services you offer from time to time
    • appropriate health and safety policies and procedures, and
    • any relevant qualifications required for you to provide the services you offer to consumers.
  • You must keep your business profile on the site up to date at all times.
  • By ticking the box and clicking accept on the sign-up page you agree to be bound be these terms. If you are an individual, you warrant that you have the authority to enter into binding contracts on behalf of the garage you represent.
  1. Subscription and Payment
  • You pay a monthly subscription fee as set out on the sign-up page on our site.
  • The subscription becomes payable upon your first booking through the platform.
  • Subscription fees are payable by direct debit or another agreed method.
  • The subscription forms part of a 12-month binding agreement. You remain liable for all subscription fees for the full 12-month Term, even if your listing is suspended, removed, or you terminate early without our written consent.
  • We may change the subscription fee, but we will give you at least 30 daysā€™ notice.
  • If you do not pay your subscription, we may suspend or remove you from the site and/or terminate this contract with immediate effect.
  1. Your Obligations to Customers
  • You must honour the prices you publish on the site.
  • You must not charge customers more than the quoted or published price, unless you have agreed any extra work and cost with the customer in advance.
  • You are responsible for contacting customers to confirm bookings and for providing the services.
  • You must provide services to customers with reasonable care and skill, and in line with all relevant laws and regulations.
  1. Bookings and Customer Contact
  • When a customer requests a booking through the site, you will receive their contact details.
  • You must contact the customer promptly to confirm the booking and any details.
  • The contract for services is between you and the customer, and we are not party to that agreement.
  • You are responsible for collecting payment directly from the customer and we are not liable for any customerā€™s failure to pay for your services.
  1. Reviews
  • Customers may leave reviews about your services on our site.
  • You may respond to reviews, but you must not post fake reviews or encourage others to do so. Any response you post must be polite, professional and respectful to the customer. Any post that contains abusive, offensive or defamatory language is prohibited and will be removed and we may suspend your access and/or terminate this contract immediately.
  • We may remove reviews that are offensive, misleading, abusive, defamatory or fake and we may suspend your access and/or terminate this contract immediately.
  1. Your Responsibilities
  • You must keep your account details safe and not share your password.
  • You must keep your insurance, qualifications or accreditations and health and safety policies up to date and provide evidence of the same to us upon request.
  • You must comply with all applicable laws, including consumer protection and data protection laws.
  1. Our Responsibilities
  • We will list your garage on our site and allow customers to find and book your services.
  • We do not guarantee any minimum number of bookings or customers.
  • We are not responsible for any disputes between you and customers.
  • Our service and site are provided ā€œas isā€ and we do not warrant that our site will be always available, accurate or fit for any particular purpose not set out in these terms. All implied warranties are excluded to the extent permitted by law.
  1. Suspending or Ending Your Listing
  • We may suspend or remove your listing if you breach these terms, fail to pay your subscription, provide false or misleading information, or for any other reason specified in these terms.
  • The Garage may not terminate the Agreement before the end of the 12-month Term without prior written consent. Early termination does not release the Garage from liability for fees due for the Term. We will not refund any sums paid in advance by you unless otherwise agreed by us in writing.
  1. Limiting Our Liability
  • We are not responsible for any loss or damage you suffer as a result of using our site or from your dealings with customers.
  • We are not responsible for any loss of profit, loss of contracts, anticipated savings, loss of goodwill or for any indirect loss however it arises.
  • Our maximum liability to you for any claims, damages or losses shall not exceed the sum of the subscription fee paid by you in the twelve months leading up to the date of the event giving rise to the loss.
  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
  1. Changes to These Terms
  • We may update these terms from time to time. We will give you notice of any significant changes.
  1. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
  • These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
